As I recline in my arm chair sipping on to the freshly brewed green tea I wonder what it was that i kept running behind.
What difference would it have made if I had a few bucks lesser while I shopped at the high street mall?
How different would life have been had I not lived in a villa but could gaze at the night sky as I stood in my modest apartment's balcony with you by my side?
Would my parents really care if I drove a common man's car instead of a Merc?
Would my friends have abondoned me if my wallet bore fewer credit cards than theirs'?
Which was 'that' race I kept running endlessly till one day my body gave up on me ?
Was it really worth the moments, the moments I thought were small as compared to the winning prize that lured me?
But as I am here, on the other side of life I only wish if I had ran slower.

Dedicated to Professor Sanjay Bhowmick.
A new place, however amusing, attractive, would intimidate most of us. Away from home, amidst absolutely huge landscape, a little girl wanted a path that led to the right direction, academically and at the same time give the much needed concern.I know a boy who disliked guns completely but took up shooting professionally just because he met Gagan Narang once. I've known a mother of three, sunken in adversities till she took up boxing over a single talk show of Mary Kom. Exactly the kind of apprehensions they all witnessed, considering the novelty of the field,a tiny curly haired gal did. Like a grey cloud high up somewhere, separated from the lot, stuffed with potential didn't open up to its abilities.Winds of change as they say, taught the cloud the art of togetherness and yet being noticeable. Soothing Rainbow reward boosted its confidence, winds of change wasn't there any longer. It taught the cloud, a lesson of lifetime, knew it would still thee around whenever needed anytime.

Happiness!!
HAPPINESS- WHAT DOES IT YOU MEAN TO?
Happiness is probably one of those very few words which
means different to each one of us. That happiness is desirable is definitely
universally agreed upon, religion, philosophy, science define happiness on varied
lines that diverge in different directions. Every person on this planet has an
opinion about happiness and what it ought to be and its very much possible that
each one of it is unique.
These are a few facts about happiness
Social conditions, freedom and civic rights are
considered as pre requisites for happiness. But there are a large number of
people who find happiness and a reason to lead a meaningful life amidst
hardships and pitiable situations.
It is a recorded fact that 37% of people on the Forbes’
List are less happy than the average American. This states another misunderstood
fact regarding happiness that it is proportional and dependent on income.
This one is something I strongly believe upon. Passion
drives happiness. The happiest people are those who are living and working what
they are passionate about than those who make choices dependent on compensation
and preferred norms.
Happiness is more about inner inclination than about
external factors. Inner predispositions such as outlook towards life,
relationships, attitudes and thoughts contribute about 50% of factors
responsible for causing happiness whereas only 10% depends upon external
factors.{ So if not a Audi be happy with a city ;) } It is all about how you
see things. Nothing is big. We make it appear that way.
So, try to find happiness in the smallest of things and
make sure you have found the right meaning of the word.

Be the change you wish to see.
They can be like us too. Just lend your hand and you will be surprised to see the difference you can make. We call them underprivileged which means lacking the rights and advantages that other members of the society enjoy.Isn't this difference a man made idea. I was disheartened to see how a twelve year old girl works at one of my friend's place to earn a little amount of money. Though I always thought of going up to her and finding out the reason why she had to go through this ordeal it never really happened. Every time I see her , she gets me back to reality. I feel disgraced at the fact that I fail to make any difference about the injustice that this little naive girl is going through. I always believed that I fight against the wrong but she reminds me that I still am a coward. One day,and that day shall not be far when I would definitely do all that I can to make sure that she leads a normal childhood like each one of us did.

Hand in hand we walked the weary path,
Each promised the other would never be apart.
Stronger with each hurdle we grew,
Proved the world how our love is so true.
Life would never be easy we knew,
Yet closer with each passing day we grew.
Forever by your side I ought to be,
You surpass all challenges I wish to see!!

Versions of Ourselves
Do we portray our real self or do we govern our behaviour to get more 'likes' and 'retweets'?
Are we scared to voice any unusual or controversial opinion in favor of the mainstream?
It is assumed that a status update that is not met with any likes is equivalent to a joke met with silence.
Why are we so insecured to reveal our true selves online and why do we monitor our actions to conform to the opinion of others around us?
We must stop creating these versions of ourselves and respect our individuality.
Dare to be "YOU".

Cricketism!!
Cricket in India is played commercially and watched emotionally,
In this country even an atheist follows one religion and believes in one GOD
THE GOD OF CRICKETISM - SACHIN TENDULKAR

“I don’t know about cricket but still I watch cricket to see Sachin play..Not b’coz I love his play its b’coz I want to know the reason why my country’s production goes down by 5 percent when he’s in batting…” - Barack Obama

An Introduction
I am Aarti and I am twenty-three.There is nothing great or exceptional that I have done in these twenty three years but I also have'nt done anything that I can't write about. This blog is just about everything I have experienced and all that I would experience in the coming days,weeks,months,years..I cannot be sure about how long would I be writing this blog, but I am sure I would write it till my Last day.You never know what you can do unless you do it.Though an amateur writer,I have realised writing is something I enjoy. It helps me disconnect from the outer world, helps me introspect and puts my mind and soul at peace. The entire credit of this blog goes to one person "Sagar Raut" who taught me how to write. So my first post of my first ever blog is dedicated to him.
I remember those stupid fights we had over silly issues,
Those warm nights with endless talks,
Those cosy lanes which hand in hand we walked,
I remember those several phone calls which went on for hours,
I miss the smallest of things n I so wish u were here!!!
